Workshops & Education
Dr Cate’s MHE&W provides education on mental health and wellbeing for students, graduates, organisations and the community, and aims to provide clear and accessible information, through engaging, interactive and enjoyable sessions.
I wear a number of education hats, including being a Medical Education Consultant to various organisations including Australian Medical Placements Health Education and Training (AMPHEaT) andAOGP Serving Health Professionals. I also teach at Torrens University and Tabor College.
I run numerous accredited training courses (face-face and online) for General Practitioners, mental health and allied health practitioners and counsellors on a range of mental health topics, and over the years I have had the opportunity to give talks on various mental health and wellbeing topics across Australia, in the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Singapore and Japan.
I am an accredited Mental Health First Aid Australia trainer and able to deliver training on resilience developed by Positivepsychology.com. I can also tailor training for your needs around mental health, wellbeing and flourishing, and bring in psychologist, allied health or counsellor co-presenters as required. My aim is to bring passion, expertise and depth to the various training programs.
Many topics have been covered over the years, including:
- Stress and anxiety
- Mindfulness
- Depression
- Men’s mental health
